Tigress Ltd, leading provider of software and services to the
oil exploration and production (E&P) market, has launched a new
website. This comprehensive site gives details of all of the
company's products and services, and offers additional features for
E&P professionals, such as a detailed list of industry events
and useful website links.
"Tigress Ltd offers a wide range of products and services, and
we wanted to make it easier for the E&P market to find out more
about what we do," explained Tigress Ltd Managing Director, David
Sullivan. "So we have invested in a brand new website that we
believe portrays the professionalism that we offer throughout our
business portfolio."
The information on the website is split into a number of
sections, and includes, for the first time, an archive of company
news and press releases, and a page of frequently asked questions
(FAQs). Users can download brochures, press releases and
newsletters in PDF format, and there are links to Tigress's Russian
subsite and its secure support site for existing customers.
"Websites should not be static, so we are planning further
developments that we hope to implement as soon as possible," said
Stephen Shorey, Tigress Ltd Operations Director. These include a
mirror site in Russian and automated mailing lists. "We are also
keen to adopt best practise where we can, so we have tried to
follow the World Wide Web Consortium's accessibility guidelines and
aim to continue to improve in this area."

About Tigress Ltd
Tigress Ltd is an independent software company dedicated to
providing E&P professionals with a comprehensive suite of
integrated tools, its main product being Tigress (The Integrated
Geoscience and Reservoir Engineering Software System). The company
was founded in 1989 by Shell, Enterprise Oil, ARCO and the UK
Department of Trade and Industry, initially to provide the world's
first integrated reservoir interpretation system. Tigress is now an
independently owned UK company.
Tigress version 1 was released in 1992 and the company
celebrated its 15th year with the launch of the fifth all-new
version of the Tigress concept. The new product, while barely
recognisable from the original, retains Tigress's philosophy of
"Integration by Design" and is still the industry's most integrated
system.
In addition to its software solutions, Tigress Ltd also offers
E&P data management and
software portfolio outsourcing, and has specialist knowledge of
Russia and The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Website creation
The new Tigress website was designed by website agency
3internet, and built using its content management
system Inigo. The project was run by Karen Packham,
an experienced freelance website project manager and content
editor. Her previous website clients include the Transport and General
Workers' Union (T&G) and the Royal National
Institute for Deaf People (RNID).
Website design
The UK is very rich in geological variety, and most of the
images at the top of the pages on the Tigress website are of sites
of geological interest around the UK. For more information, see the
page About this
website in the About us section of the new Tigress
website.
