A recent industry presentation given by Tigress Ltd managing
director David Sullivan has been used as the basis of an article by
First Break magazine in its latest issue (January 2006). The
feature forms part of a special issue on IT/Data Management in this
month’s publication.
David Sullivan’s speech, ‘From Baghdad to Banking: E&P Data
Management in the Real World’, was given at the Petroleum
Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB) Data Management 2005
conference in December 2005 at the Geological Society in London. In
it he argued that all E&P companies now require an integrated,
real-time exploration and production database to compete
effectively.
Now, as we move into 2006, the subject of a sound data
management policy has clearly captured the interest of many
industry players and Tigress is seeing more activity than ever in
this business area. The company is gearing up for several data
management projects, ranging in size from the typical individual
field study through domain support for major oil and gas operating
companies, right up to full national data banks.
