The latest quarterly update to the Tigress 5.0 platform, Tigress
5.0.2, has been released to the user base. Available immediately to
all clients, this release sees 83 system change requests (SCRs) –
developments that bring enhancements and fixes across the product
line.
The main features of this patch release are enhancements to The
Import Export System (TIES), with streamlining of data transfer to
and from Petrel and a new LAS file export capability. The
Petrel link now handles multiple data types, including well header,
deviation, log and zonation (picks) using a single data transfer
step. We have also added direct export to LAS version 2.0, to
complement the existing LAS import facility. Elsewhere in TIES a
new ‘Data > Write’ audit file has been added, which allows you
to save the selected data list as an external text file, which is
very useful when undertaking quality control of large data
transfers.
Other developments in Tigress 5.0.2 include:
- The Fast Track Petrophysics application has a new, configurable
report option to allow you to control the level of detail in the
reports.
- The Petrophysical Interpretation application now includes
options to perform Shears and Biot-Gassman analyses on log
data.
- The Well Correlation application has a new feature that allows
you to convert synthetic (square) traces to zonations.
- In the simulator, the maximum number of wells that can be used
in a single model has been increased from 200 to 1000, and the
maximum number of completions increased from 500 to 2000.
- The Matrix editor has a new export option, to allow the data to
be saved as a comma separated value (CSV) text file so that it can
be imported into spreadsheets.
A full list of the changes is included in the 5.0.2 release
packs that are supplied to each client. However, if you wish to
receive a copy of the document please contact the Tigress
helpdesk.
