About our standard courses
Lengths
Course durations are set to meet the needs of the trainees. We
run short, half-day overview sessions for managers, administrative
staff and others interested in a high level understanding of the
topics. Our standard two and three day courses are popular with
geoscientists, giving them enough time to learn key workflows and
to build familiarity with the applications. And then we run longer
courses, lasting from one week to one month, where in-depth
knowledge or extensive training is needed.
Manuals
Tigress training courses are supported by clearly written and
well illustrated training manuals. These manuals differ from any
online manuals in that they show specific 'how-to' examples using
the data from our own training database.
Approach
We believe a 'hands-on' approach is the most effective way to
learn new software, so each section is designed around work
examples that lead you to build upon earlier experiences.
Class sizes
Classes are kept small, with typically a maximum of six students
per class. This ensures plenty of interaction and one-to-one
support from the teaching staff.
