Two days.
Description
This course is intended for systems and database administrators
who have completed the Introductory Systems Administration course and
require a more in-depth knowledge of Tigress systems
administration.
Prerequisites
Completion of the Introductory Systems Administration
course.
Format
Demonstrations, lectures and user exercises using Linux or Unix
based workstations.
Objectives
On completion of the course, trainees will be able to:
- reconfigure installations across different hardware
platforms
- configure Tigress across networked environments
- use intermediate debugging techniques
- repair a Tigress project
- understand Oracle architecture
- develop a backup and recovery regime
- understand DBCC and examine errors
- run SQL scripts on the Tigress data
model.
