One day.
Description
This course is intended for new and existing Tigress users who
will need to create and load 2D and 3D seismic surveys, and import
third party seismic horizon and fault data.
Applications
The following applications are covered in this course:
- Geophysics Import/Export
- Interpretation.
Prerequisites
Familiarity with using Unix/Linux utilities, such as vi and AWK,
would be an advantage, as would a basic understanding of SEG-Y
data.
Format
Demonstrations, lectures and user exercises.
Objectives
On completion of the course, trainees will be able to:
- create directories for storing seismic data
- manage geophysics data
- create and load 3D and 2D surveys
- review SEG-Y tape data to determine trace header details
- calculate clipping levels and pre-processed parameters
- import SEG-Y and 3rd party SEG-Y data
- generate time slices and survey intersections
- import cultural, horizon and fault interpretations
- display loaded data in the interpretation
application.
