Duration
Two days.
Description
This course is intended for new and existing Tigress users who
are involved in field simulation.
In this course we show you how to create and run a
simple black oil simulation model. We cover both manual and
interactive grid definition methods, along with the use of well
production data to define completion controls. Trainees are taught
manual entry and database extraction of pressure and saturation
tables to complete model building.
Applications
The following applications are covered in the course:
- Data Assembly
- Grid Preparation
- Console
- Reporting.
Prerequisites
Familiarity with using Unix/Linux workstations and windowed
environments is an advantage.
Format
Demonstrations, lectures and user exercises.
Objectives
On completion of the course, trainees will be able to:
- define a black oil model and run fluids
- utilize existing maps to create the simulation grid and its
parameters
- apply transforms and filters to grid data
- utilize existing database well production data in the
model
- create new simulation wells
- create new and utilize existing database pressure and
saturation data
- run the model and history match the results
- produce reports.
