Overview
This course is intended for all new users of the Tigress suite
of applications.
The course covers the history and concepts behind Tigress, the
underlying database and software architecture, and how to start
Tigress and its applications. We will explain the Tigress user
interface and common application menu options, and teach trainees
about hardcopy procedures.
Prerequisites
Familiarity with Unix/Linux workstations and windowed
environments is an advantage.
Format
Demonstrations, lectures and user exercises.
Objectives
On completion of the course, trainees will be able to:
- understand how Tigress works and stores data
- start and stop Tigress and its applications
- use the Tigress Application Interface
- read and delete data from the database and save data to the
database
- change the application display
- generate and send hardcopy files
- use online user guides.
