Two days.
Description
This course is intended for new or existing Tigress users who
need to load Tigress projects with well and map data.
Trainees are taught which data types can be loaded, the formats
required (both Tigress PBAscii and third party file formats), and
the applications used to load the files. We will give a full
description of the Tigress PBAscii format with conversion of
non-Tigress format files. Finally, we will discuss data
management to ensure both data and database validity and
security.

Prerequisites
Previous completion of the Tigress Fundamentals course. Familiarity with using
Unix/Linux utilities, such as vi and AWK, for file manipulation
would be advantageous but not essential.

Demonstrations, lectures and user exercises.
Objectives
On completion of the course, trainees will be able to:
- understand Tigress PBAscii formats and structure
- import LIS, BIT, TIF and LAS format log data
- enter log and mud header parameters
- import Tigress format well data ASCII files
- manually enter well data
- convert and load non-Tigress format ASCII files
- enter general well parameters
- create a cartographic reference system for mapping
- load third party format mapping data files
- graphically display the loaded data
- publish loaded data
- export data.
